THE LIFE AND TIMES OF RED LEGEND PAISLEY

January 1919 – born in Hetton-le-Hole, County Durham.
  
August 1937 – joins top amateur side of the time Bishop Auckland.
  
May 1939 – helps Auckland to a treble of Northern League Championship, Amateur Cup, and Durham Challenge Cup the signs for Liverpool.
  
October 1939 – receives his call-up papers and joins up with Montgomery's 'Desert Rats' in Egypt.
  
March 1940 – make his first senior appearance in Liverpool colours when appearing in a wartime fixture away to Manchester United.
  
October 1940 – scores his first Liverpool goal in a 9-1 wartime rout of Chester City at Anfield.
  
September 1946 - makes his league debut for Liverpool in a remarkable 7-4 home win against Chelsea.
  
June 1946 – wins his first major honour in the game as George Kay's Liverpool defy the odds to clinch the inaugural post-war championship.
  
April 1950 – suffers the heartbreak of being left out of Liverpool's FA Cup Final team, despite scoring in the semi-final.
  
March 1954 – plays his last game for Liverpool in a 1-0 defeat away to Sheffield United.
  
April 1954 – Liverpool are relegated and after announcing his retirement from playing he looks to be heading out of Anfield until the board offer him a job as reserve team coach.
  
April 1956 – guides Liverpool reserves to their first-ever Central League title.
  
December 1959 – promoted to work with the first team squad following Bill Shankly's appointment as manager.
  
July 1974 – succeeds Bill Shankly as Liverpool manager.
  
December 1975 - wins his first Manager of the Month award.
  
April 1976 - wins his 2nd Manager of the Month award and is then named Manager of the Year for the first time.
  
May 1976 – leads Liverpool to a glorious double of League Championship and UEFA Cup. The title is clinched courtesy of a memorable 3-1 victory over Wolves at Molineux, while FC Bruges are beaten over two legs as Euro glory quickly follows.
  
August 1976 – enjoys a first Charity Shield success as Southampton are defeated 1-0 at Wembley.
  
March 1977 – wins his 3rd Manager of the Month award.
  
April 1977 – wins his 4th Manager of the Month award and his 2nd Manager of the Year accolade.
  
May 1977 – The most momentous month of his career culminates in the glory that was Rome as Liverpool win the European Cup for the first time. The League Championship is retained but defeat in the FA Cup final dashes dreams of an unprecedented treble.
  
August 1977 – breaks the British transfer record to sign Kenny Dalglish from Celtic for £440,000.
  
November 1977 - receives an OBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
  
December 1977 – more glory in Europe as Liverpool complete a two-legged victory over SV Hamburg to win the Super Cup.
  
February 1978 - wins his 5th Manager of the Month award
  
March 1978 – guides Liverpool to a first-ever League Cup Final but a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest at Wembley is followed by 1-0 replay defeat at Old Trafford.
  
May 1978 – becomes the first English manager to win successive European Cup's as Liverpool retain the giant trophy with a 1-0 win over FC Bruges at Wembley.
  
May 1979 – celebrates 3rd League Championship as Reds boss and is also named Managerof the Year for a 3rd time.
  
August 1979 - a scintillating performance against Arsenal beneath the twin towers results in Liverpool lifting another Charity Shield.
  
December 1979 – wins his 6th Manager of the Month award
  
May 1980 – another League title is clinched courtesy of a 4-1 home win over Aston Villa and a 4th Manager of the Year award also comes his way.
  
August 1980 – a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham earns another Charity Shield success.
  
April 1981 – the League Cup is finally added to his list of honours after a 2-1 replay triumph over West Ham at Villa Park. A 7th Manager of the Month award is also won.
  
May 1981 – leads Liverpool to a third European Cup in Paris as Real Madrid are defeated 1-0.
  
January 1982 – wins his 8th Manager of the Month award.
  
March 1982 – the League Cup is successfully retained as Tottenham are beaten 3-1 after extra-time at Wembley and a 9th Manager of the Month award is also won.
  
May 1982 – A final day victory over Tottenham at Anfield confirms a 5th League Championship as Reds boss and not surprisingly a 5th Manager of Year accolade quickly follows.
  
August 1982 – announces he is to step down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season then kicks-off the new campaign with another Wembley win over Tottenham as the Charity Shield is brought back to Anfield.
  
November 1982 – wins his 10th Manager of the Month award.
  
January 1983 – wins his 11th Manager of the Month award.
  
March 1983 – leads his team up the 39 steps at Wembley to lift the Milk Cup following a 2-1 win over Manchester United.
  
May 1983 – takes charge of Liverpool for the final time but not before guiding the Reds to another title triumph and collecting an unprecedented 6th Manager of the Year accolade.
  
August 1983 – takes up a position on the Liverpool board of directors.
  
July 1985 – accepts a new position as consultant to newly appointed player/manager Kenny Dalglish.
  
May 1986 – celebrates Liverpool's unprecedented League and FA Cup double.
  
February 1992 – resigns from the Liverpool board due to ill health.
  
February 1996 – sadly passes away. :sleep
  
April 1999 – the Paisley Gateway is officially opened in his honour.

  从一个出身低微的砖瓦匠再到安菲尔德的英雄,鲍勃-派斯利的一生是因足球而精彩的一生,虽然这位传奇人物已经逝去,但当我们回忆起他的事迹的时候,依然那么激动人心……

  1919年1月-鲍勃出生在英格兰东北部达拉谟郡一个名叫Hetton-le-Hole的小乡村。

  1937年8月-鲍勃加入英格兰业余联赛球队比肖普-奥克兰。

  1939年5月-二战爆发,鲍勃应征入伍,在“沙漠之鼠”——英军在北非的精锐装甲部队服役。而据鲍勃的回忆,当时他所在的团90%的人来自利物浦所在的默西塞郡。
